:: Faking It, Perfectionism, and Wholehearted Living ::

Yeah, well if those top three phrases didn’t get your attention…uh huh…exactly.

They hit you at the core. Your very being.

“Yup. I know precisely what she’s talking about.”  ***gut churning***

So apparently, I’m not the only one, who when introduced to the fantastic work of Brene Brown, gets a solid slug of resistance that pops up. Like a freakin’ nasty rash. “GO. AWAY.” – your mind is screaming at you. Apparently, this a sensitive subject? Trust me. I know. This is the second time I’ve read Brene’s book, “Daring Greatly” and I’m picking up more now than I ever did in the first round of reading it. Nuances that are quite honestly, blowing my mind.

“Don’t try to win over the haters; you are not a jackass whisperer.”
Brené Brown, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead

Wanna sneak peek at what this book is all about? Take a look at this little snippet of a video. I’ll be sharing more over the coming weeks as I read and discover more. Nothing is quite as liberating as being transparent and authentic in our own learning landscape.

“In her book Daring Greatly, Dr. Brené Brown identifies 10 qualities people living a wholehearted life have in common. Here, she discusses two with Oprah. Watch to find out why Dr. Brown says inauthenticity is contagious and why perfectionism is really another form of fear.”

Enjoy and tata for now my lovelies!

xoxo ~ Mel
